ABC split

The ABC split is a three-day division where each letter (A, B and C) trains a different set of muscle groups, rotating through the week.

Also known as: ABC routine · ABC / ABCABC

A common arrangement is A (chest/shoulders/triceps), B (back/biceps) and C (legs), following the push, pull and legs idea. The 'train 3 days, rest 1' rotation (ABC + rest) is popular because it fits varied schedules; you can also run ABC on fixed days or repeat it as ABCABC to raise frequency.

Like any split, ABC is neither better nor worse universally: what decides is how many days you train, your recovery, and how much volume and frequency each muscle receives. SelfShapeAI helps choose and adjust the most coherent split for your routine and goal instead of locking a single model.
