Training split

A training split is how you organize which muscle groups are trained on each day of the week.

Also known as: Split

The most common splits are full body (whole body each session), upper/lower (upper and lower body on separate days), push/pull/legs (pushing, pulling and legs) and the bro split (one muscle group per day).

No split is universally better: the choice depends on available days, level, and how much volume and frequency each one delivers per muscle group.
