Unilateral training
Unilateral training means performing exercises one side of the body at a time, like lunges, single-arm rows or single-arm presses.
Also known as: Single-side training
It can help compare sides, improve control and reduce compensations, but it is not automatically superior to bilateral work. In many plans the two coexist: bilateral movements provide the load base, and unilateral work refines volume, stability and symmetry.
SelfShapeAI can fit unilateral exercises according to goal, equipment and routine, keeping the focus on what matters: good execution, feasible progression and enough recovery across the week.
