Microcycle
A microcycle is the smallest unit of periodization, usually one week of training organized within a larger block.
Also known as: Training week
It distributes sessions, rest days, muscle groups and each workout's focus across a short period. Several microcycles form a mesocycle, which in turn fits into a larger phase of the plan.
In practice, thinking in microcycles avoids building isolated workouts without looking at the whole week. SelfShapeAI uses frequency, routine and goal context to turn the week into an executable plan, not a loose sheet.
