Range of motion (ROM)

Range of motion is how far the joint travels during an exercise, from the start to the end of the movement.

Also known as: ROM

Training with a good range of motion, within what technique and the joint allow, usually improves both the stimulus and movement quality.

Cutting the range short just to lift more weight, at the cost of technique, usually trades quality for a number on paper.
