HIIT vs. LISS

HIIT uses intense intervals alternated with recovery; LISS uses continuous low-intensity cardio.

Also known as: High-intensity intervals vs. steady-state cardio

HIIT is usually shorter and more demanding; LISS tends to be easier to recover from and to schedule more often. The best choice depends on goal, conditioning, preference and impact on strength training.

When cardio and lifting coexist, the question is not which one wins, but which fits the week better. SelfShapeAI helps on the training side by organizing the routine, logging sessions and making it clearer when conditioning is helping or hurting recovery.
