Long muscle length training
Long muscle length training means emphasizing exercises or phases where the muscle works in a more stretched position.
Also known as: Lengthened-position training
Recent literature suggests that training at longer muscle lengths may favor growth in some muscles and exercises, but that does not automatically make every partial rep or extreme range better.
The responsible application is choosing variations that load the stretched position well without breaking technique or stressing the joint. SelfShapeAI helps test this across plan phases and track whether the change actually improves execution, load and consistency.
