Partial reps

Partial reps are repetitions performed through only part of the range of motion.

Also known as: Partials

They can be planned to emphasize one region of the range, like the most stretched position, or to extend a set after full-range reps stop coming out clean. The problem is using partials without intent, just to lift more weight with worse technique.

As a technique, it needs a place and a purpose within the session. SelfShapeAI helps log what was done and keep progression readable, separating planned partials from range shortened by fatigue or ego.
