Superset

A superset is performing two exercises back to back, without rest between them, before stopping to recover.

Also known as: Paired sets

It can pair antagonist muscle groups (for example, biceps and triceps) or the same group, and is usually used to save time or increase training density.

It is not mandatory and does not replace well-distributed volume — it is a session-organization tool, most useful when training time is limited.
