Tri-set

A tri-set is performing three exercises in sequence, without rest between them, normally for the same muscle group.

Also known as: Three-exercise sequence

It is the extension of the bi-set: three back-to-back movements (for example, three shoulder exercises) to accumulate a lot of stimulus and 'burn' in little time. It sharply increases training density and metabolic stress.

Because it generates a lot of fatigue, it works best as an occasional resource — in isolation work or at the end of a session — rather than the base of everything. SelfShapeAI helps use tri-sets at the right moment, balancing intensity and recovery within the plan.
