Mind-muscle connection
The mind-muscle connection is directing your attention to the target muscle while executing an exercise.
Also known as: Internal focus
It can be useful mainly in isolation exercises, when the goal is to feel and control the target muscle better. In heavy compound movements, focusing on performance, overall technique and stability is often more practical.
The mind-muscle connection does not replace load, range of motion and progression. SelfShapeAI can help with plan explanations and exercise adjustments so the intent of the movement matches the session's goal.
