Rest between sets
Rest between sets is the interval used to recover strength before the next set of an exercise.
Also known as: Inter-set rest · Rest interval
Longer rests tend to preserve performance on heavy compound sets; short rests increase density but can reduce load and reps when fatigue is still high.
In practice, the interval has to match goal, exercise and available time. SelfShapeAI helps apply that logic by building the plan around your context and logging load, reps and perceived effort session after session.
